Royally Flushed

Lindaman writes:

Remember when the Left portrayed President Obama as the "post-racial President"? It seems that, in spite of that lofty (and as yet unexplained) title,

This explains it pretty well:

some in this country can't get past race. And no, my little Leftist reader, they're not on the Right.

Yes, my porcine Right-wing reader, they are.

Yes, my friends, it's the Left that keeps playing the race card.

Yet it's the "Left" that don't use the term "race card", which is a common defensive dismissive term of racists.

Criticize Obama's policies? You're a racist.

Great! Show us where you've been called a racist just because of a policy that has nothing to do with race.

Point out that the NAACP nodded and applauded Shirley Sherrod saying that she didn't help a white farmer as well as she could have? You're a racist.

Yes, one would probably be a racist (and a liar); since that's not what happened.

Think that Arizona's immigration law is a good idea? You're a racist.

Yes, because the AZ law has racial profiling.

Agree with the TEA Party? You're a racist.

Not necessarily. Denying that there are racist elements in the Teabagger group instead of rejecting them? Probably a good sign, yeah.

The Left keeps playing the race card to the point of comic absurdity. In fact, I was once called a racist by a Leftist because I said I didn't care what race Obama was.

Where? In some AOL chat room?

I thought it was funnier when you said Obama was elected because he was black, as if being black wasn't an obstacle. lol

But such is the thinking of the Left these days. They see racism under every rock, behind every tree, and under every bed.

There's LOTS of racists out there. Trying to pretend you're not one of them by saying "They're pointing out a lot of them!" isn't going to work.

But, as with so much of what the Left believes, reality paints a far different picture. You wouldn't know it from listening to the Left, but by and large the races get along. There will still be at least some friction among the races, just as there is friction between people. Yet, there isn't the kind of racial animosity that the Left assumes is there.

Great, let's see where they see it where it isn't!

It goes a bit deeper than that, though. Have you noticed that if you're in favor of something that the Left is against, the Left makes it into a racial issue even when race isn't really a factor?

Great, let's see it!

With the election of Obama, the Left has gotten ultra-sensitive about race, while the rest of us have given race the same general consideration that we did before Obama's election, which is to say we don't really care.

Then again, the Left thrives on keeping racial tensions high because it benefits them. Money to candidates, unblinking support of Democrat candidates, the maintenance of the image of the Left defending civil rights, all of these and more that I didn't mention are at stake if the races get along. Instead of accepting the reality and working within it, though, the Left prefers to be destructive rather than constructive. Thus, they keep playing the race card in the hopes that enough people still believe there is racism everywhere you go.

However, what the Left doesn't realize is that they can't keep playing the race card without it losing its impact. That's what's happening now. By spending time and energy inventing racism where it doesn't exist in situations that have nothing to do with race or to defend allies who have screwed up, the Left has watered down real racism, like the racism exhibited by the NAACP in the Sherrod video when members laughed and applauded when Sherrod said she didn't help the white farmer as well as she could. And what is the Left doing?

Truthfully calling you racist right-wingers out for the liars you are. Because "laughing and applauding" isn't what happened. I know you'd feel better thinking those uppity nignogs were howling with laughter and stamping their feet going "Uhm-huh! You go, sistah! Keep them whiteys down!" But that ain't reality.

Going after Andrew Breitbart, Fox News, Glenn Beck, and anyone else who sees real racism in the footage and being unafraid to point it out.

And people are starting to pay attention to the Left's Chicken Little act and rejecting the Left's arguments as being unfounded. The more that happens, the more desperate the Left will get, and the more likely they are to keep playing the race card, which will continue their downward spiral. Unfortunately for them, they don't see the negative impact it's having on their credibility to keep crying "racism" instead of "wolf" at every situation that comes along where the Left and the Right clash these days. They'll keep building their house of race cards higher and higher and hope nobody sneezes.

And the crash when someone does will be spectacular.

What's spectacular is how terrible you are at analogies.

Here's the reality:

1. Right-wing Breitbart posted a speech by Sherrod that removed the context, and made a lying commentary about it.
2. Fox News's website ran with the story very shortly afterwards and put up almost identical text.
3. Fox Nation also runs with the story, and makes it look even worse:

After the full speech shows her story was illustrating the opposite of what they were portraying... Lindaman, of course, says none of the above is true. But he doesn't back it up with anything, unlike professionals like Media Matters that actually do their research.

Sherrod sues the people who smear her, and Lindaman pounces on her instead of the people who lied about her.

When this is truthfully pointed out, Lindaman says they are playing the race card.

Not to mention having to use a proven Anti-Semite as a source. lol

You know, Lindman... I've never personally called you a racist. I've tried to give you the benefit of the doubt. I've teased you for hanging out with racists on AOL, but never called you, personally, a racist before. Because unlike you (and Beck, and Breitbart, and Limbaugh, and Hannity, and Savage, and Fox News, etc)... I wait until there's evidence to back up the things I say.

But your actions on this, and the "mosque" situation, have exposed you for what you are.

That's why, now that I have the evidence, I can freely say it now:

Thomas Lindaman is a racist, and a bigot.

If this is just "playing cards" to people like you, you folded a few posts ago.
